Full Description

Evuna's attention to detail is a rare treat. Their starters kindle summer memories with asparagus tortillas and a light bean and cured bellota ham salad. Fish presides over the mains, where presentation gently jousts with content; hake strips are tantalising served over spiced roasted potatoes, peppers and a dense tomato sauce. Starting out as a Spanish wine importer, the house red, Portillejo merlot, is unsurprisingly superb alongside the riojas, roses and cavas, again regionally sourced.

" This was our first visit here. We made a reservation for 7.30pm and our table was ready when we arrived. The restaurant is within a wine shop specialising in Spanish wines. Unprepossessing from the outside yet with a pleasant quaint atmosphere inside. I asked a friendly waitress for a wine recommendation and took a bottle of the Portillejo Cabernet Crianza – which turned out to be excellent, the choice of wines is huge – all Spanish. We ordered a selection of 8 tapas (too many really) and found them all to be of excellent quality and by the time we had finished we were very full. The restaurant appears to be popular - it was full on the Wednesday evening we were there, and the staff and atmosphere were relaxing and friendly. "
