The Cricklewood is a family friendly bar and restaurant in the heart of leafy Bothwell, on the outskirts of Glasgow. The perfect place to enjoy a day out in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, they serve up home cooked food that appeals to all tastes, with the casual bar menu being complemented by a more sophisticated a la carte restaurant. A particular favourite is the cod and pancetta fishcake, which can be followed by a glorious choice of traditional mains including Scottish salmon, fish and chips and the legendary three cheese macaroni.

" The food was not great - my husband ordered the chargrilled chicken which was dry and overcooked and I had the smoked haddock, which was tasty but the mash was very bland. The table was very sticky and, without the hi-life discount, this experience would have been horribly overpriced. "

" First time used card. Late afternoon and not very busy. I had black pudding salad starter and lasagne. Friend had pate and fish and chips. Food was delicious. Prices, including drinks, very reasonable. Service was excellent. Delighted with meal. "
