This culinary delight has gone from strength to strength over recent years and has gone from being a predominantly bar-orientated operation, to that of a bona fide restaurant.Its contemporary design with samples of local artists' labours adorning the canary yellow walls, is a convivial environment to enjoy their modern English/continental cuisine. With an abundance of huge windows, whose over-size neutral blinds soften the suns rays streaming through - Yorkshire weather permitting - it has a light and calming ambience. Their menu includes dishes like red mullet, marinated prawns, smoked salmon and cous-cous but really the best way to experience it is to go along there yourself.

" Had a lovely meal at the arts cafe which also had a great atmosphere. We had smoked salmon and pork terrine to start and what was like a chicken and ham ´pot pie´ with gorgeous chunky chips. Would highly recommend a visit to this cafe bar. "

" Absolutely wonderful. The food was devine. We had the pork and calamari for starter, fish with lentils and steak main and cheesecake and chocolate torte desert. The wine was also exceptional and the staff extremely helpfull and friendly. They were very willing to make any adjustments to the dishes that we required and made it an allround wonderful experience. We went on a sunday night and were the only customers in which was a shame but we never felt rushed or uncomfortable. Definately recommend it. "

" Amazing little restraunt that has the most delicious food, its a total unknown gem! Its always busy enough to have an atmosphere but not overcrowded. the staff are very frindsly and the food ... UNBELIEVABLE! The Tuna Steak main is absolutely delicious as is the pate and all the puds! "
