Located right on the beach on Eastborough, Restaurant 55 affords spectaular unrivalled views across Scarborough Bay.This open plan spacious and airy restaurant specialises in serving "upmarket fish and chips". Not just your average battered cod here! There's a newly installed mussel and shellfish bar, and diners have the choice of how they wish their fish to be cooked - grilled, battered and fried or simply poached. Restaurant 55 offers a unique and modern approach to this British tradition and a visit is a must.

" what a nice place and very cheap i would summarise it as a posh fish and chip shop the location is what makes this place stand out - fab views over the bay and harbour - great little place to sit and have coffee we had 2 starters (garlic prawns and crab cakes) with 2 regular fish and chips with all the normal bits and pieces - a couple of soft drinks and the bill was about £15 with the card - bargain! "

" no need to ring up, EXCELLENT choice of seafood!!! and mega cheap!!! we got there about 3pm and the restaurant was empty excellent service from all the staff...even had a joke with them we ordered two fish and chips and two mussels with king prawns, tea two coffee and a hot chocolate two hi life card a mega cheao £28.20!!!! def recommend this place for the value its excellent and the fish was excellent as well slight down side...the king prawn was slightly salty "

" Have eaten here twice on a Sunday and they have accepted my card, Light and airy with good sea views if you can get one on the few window seats. Good selection from sandwiches and jacket spuds to full seafood and fish menus. Not a gourmet restaurant but an acceptable cafe. "
