The Northern Whig is Belfast’s most stylish, neo-classic bar with a 130-seater restaurant serving cosmopolitan cuisine to the up-and-coming city slickers. The Northern Whig serves quality food from 12pm right though to 10pm. It is the perfect place to take a break from a weary day’s shopping or later on to wind down after a hard day’s work. If you fancy some thing light try the gourmet panini menu, choose from a selection of goats cheese and pear, smoked salmon, cream cheese and chives and pepperoni paninis all priced at £4.75, why not try a bowl of home made soup and a panini for £5.95 served in the coffee bar from 12 noon to 10pm daily. From 3pm to 10pm be sure to take advantage of the nibbles menu, ideal for post work munchies. Choose from chicken wings, cocktail sausages, Caesar salad, garlic ciabatta and wedges, buy any 3 nibbles for £5.00, or all of them for £8.00 or why not push the boat out and by any 3 nibbles and a bottle of wine for £11.00.The restaurant menu is served from 12noon to 9pm daily and to 10pm on Thursdays, bookings are advisable at the weekends. Choose from a wide selection of starters including homemade seafood chowder, goats cheese spring salad, wild mushroom risotto and smoked salmon topped potato cake. Main courses served include seared salmon fillet, spinach and ricotto cannelloni, sea bass, linguini with meatballs and our famous Caesar salad. They also offer small and large portions with certain dishes. Why not finish off your meal with homemade banoffee, carmelised banana crepes or white chocolate and raspberry cheese cake served with a speciality coffee. They serve food all day on Sundays including the traditional Sunday lunch. For private dinner parties why not book the Mezzanine bar - a hot buffet menu or finger food menu is available.
