" We were unable to get through on the telephone so sent an e/mail to book the table, they confirmed back and on arriving at the restaurant apologised straight away for the inconvenience caused. The ambience and design of Vertigo is very luxurious, the waitress was very helpful and friendly and went through the fabulous menu with us to explain certain dishes, when our main courses arrived the side orders were on the ´house´ for the mix up over booking which we thought was a very nice touch. The food was excellent, service superb and I would recommend Vertigo, it is a very expensive restaurant but the Hi-Life card it made a big difference and was a very special evening that we won´t forget. "

" Stayed here on 30th march and had a meal that evening. I cannot fault the meal. The setting is lovely, the staff are attentive without being obtrusive. Complimentary bread was brought to start we chose garlic, very tasty but would have been nicer if a little but warmer. An amuse bouche of tomato soup was brought. This was extremely tasty for such a small amount. We both ordered the salmon starter which was a delight to look at and certainly didn´t disappoint on flavour. More complimentary bread followed this time we both chose a cheese roll, very nice.... Main courses, hubby had pork loin which he couldn´t fault. I had the duck which was amazing especially the confit rolls which had such depth of flavour. Desserts ... Hubby had the lemon cheesecake and I ordered the assiette of orange. Both were again well presented and had the flavour to match. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.... "

" Verve Grill, Bury, Sunday Carvery - tried the carvery buffet for the first time today. It was excellent. They do 2 sittings - 12.30 and 3pm. Lots of choice - soup and hot rolls, For starter - salads with smoked salmon and prawns. Full carvery with choice of 3 meats. Desserts and cheese & biscuits. Not to mention a waffle station. £11.95 for 2 meals plus drinks. We will certainly go back! " "

" Mitton Hall : The food was delicious, I had french onion soup, my Friend had partridge, we both had steaks in peppercorn sauce with chunky chips, for desert i had lemon tart with raspberry sorbet and my friend had blackberry trifle, the service was excellent we saved about £30 it is a lovely place with big cumfy settees next to an open fire to have drinks after, will definately go again. "

" Room Restaurant, Manchester. When we booked on the telephone the girl was delightful, we told her that we would have two Hi-Life cards and she was cool with that. From when we arrived the service was excellent, we had a few minutes to order cocktails on their half price offer and as we couldn´t decide she suggest a bottle of wine, half price, a very good start to the night. The waitress was marvelous explaining how each dish would arrive at the table, the dishes are what they describe as de-structured, a new concept for us but fabulous. One of the party is a vegetarian and they did one of the main courses as a started to accommodate him, she really went out of her way to be helpful. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was buzzing, we would definitely recommend Room and with the Hi-Life card it made a big difference to the bill. "
