Full Description
The philosophy behind The Tiled Hall is simple: good café-style food served in an architecturally stunning interior, if you’re in a hurry it’s great for a light lunch or if you have more time you can take it easy in this oasis of calm. Rather aptly, the Tiled Hall is the original reading room linking the city’s library with the Leeds City Art Gallery and boasts a fabulous Victorian tiled interior. You can take your pick of a soft seat for some respite from the hubbub with a selection of home made cakes such as Yorkshire parkin or home-made scones while you catch up with the paper, or a quick bite with friends or clients seated at a table or at the long windows. The magnificent tiled columns and arches making it an architectural gem in the city centre and the team work hard to cater for the wide range of customers who include visitors to the gallery, the local business community with corporate packages for breakfasts and lunches, through to private hire for weddings and parties. The Tiled Hall now also offers an al fresco area serving drinks and light refreshments plus an exclusive upper terrace overlooking the city available for private hire.
