Full Description
Linthwaite Country House Hotel is situated in the heart of the beautiful Lake District, with a sublime hilltop setting overlooking Lake Windermere and the surrounding Lakeland fells. Its two rosette, 5 out of 10 in the Good Food Guide, award winning restaurant serves modern British food and is under the stewardship of Chris O’Callaghan. Their excellent 4 course table d’hôte dinner menu includes delights such as crisp belly pork and roasted loin served with smoked apple and sage. Desserts such as raspberry soufflé with champagne jelly are not to be missed, but neither is their excellent cheese board featuring a Cornish Yarg, Stinking Bishop, Golden Cross, Colston Bassett Blue Stilton and Flower Marie. They alone make a visit to Linthwaite House a meal to remember
