Purple Ocean Restaurant is situated on St Michaels Pier, overlooking Dun Laoghaire Harbour and South Dublin's Bay. The setting is tranquil and the restaurant itself echoes this. The Purple Ocean Restaurant is elegant and bright, decorated in purples blues and whites to mimic the water effect. Using artwork from local artists and scattered with a host of angels, fairies and crystals, it really is a magical place.The Tower, which is located over the restaurant, is a small intimate 360 degree glass room with stunning views over the harbour. The menu shows the emphasis that is placed on using the markets local gourmet produce. Dishes such as tournedos Rossini and black sole meniere come particularly well recommended.The restaurant is fully licensed and offers a full range of beers and spirits and boasts an exceptional wine list. Purple Ocean Restaurant is a proud member of the Feile Bia program and won the outstanding food and service award in 2005. A stylish restaurant in a unique setting, this is well worth a visit.
