Guy’s Restaurant and Bar opened in October 2006 and from day one the emphasis has been on serving fantastic food with no fuss and no pretensions. They use the freshest produce available and serve everything up with real pride.The menu itself is extensive. Over fifteen starters are on offer including pan-fried foie gras on toasted brioche, Scottish mussels and roast quail. The mains are equally delicious and include Scottish lemon sole, Aberdeen Angus rib-eye beef and seared fillet of Highland venison.With everything cooked to perfection, Guy’s Restaurant never fails to impress.

" Great meal loved the duck egg with black pudding and filet steak main, rack of lamb also gets a worthy mention. The service was patchy - nice welcome and pleasent enough but missed check backs and slack attention to the wine let it down slightly. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is theatrically decorated. The ala carte is expensive but with the hi life card is becomes far more manageable. If you are a party of two try to secure your booking in the back room as the tables opposite the bar are a bit out of it (but still perfectly acceptable. Two thumbs up. "

" Food was good although mains costing £27 is a bit steep. Overall we enjoyed the meal; attentive staff, but not over attentive. Atmosphere was good even on a week night. Would recommend. "
