Full Description
Zanzibar Sheffield was the first Afro-Caribbean restaurant in the history of Yorkshire and is probably one of the country's best.Their food is of the highest quality and encompasses dishes from right across Africa combined with many Caribbean delights. Mains include ground rice fufu exotic - chicken, lamb or beef served with ground rice, delicately prepared to resemble mashed potatoes and served with a choice of meat stew, and the intriguingly named nshima with lamb. For those not familiar with this creation it is, of course, maize meal served with tender diced lamb and accompanied by plantain, callolou and an exotic salad.
