The Fitzwilliam Hotel in Dublin is the ultimate in contemporary style and Irish warmth and is located at the hip heart of Dublin city. Meticulously designed by Sir Terence Conran, The Fitzwilliam offers a unique blend of style and luxury.Effortlessly positioned on the mezzanine level overlooking the hotel lobby is Citron, a cool, metropolitan hangout where modern, Mediterranean cuisine is the order of the day. Bistro favourites such as rocket and goat’s cheese tart and rib-eye of beef with caramelised onions and whipped potatoes are all on offer. And whatever you do, don’t leave without trying the delicious deserts – dark chocolate bread and butter pudding and pineapple tart tatin are two favourites. A fresh, clean interior greets diners - zesty lime and lemon wall colours contrast with the chalky white terrazzo, the woven white bar front and the dark timber floor. The ceiling is a collection of low flying ovoid forms, which gently glow. However contemporary Citron’s décor, it is still very much in the old fashioned mould when it comes to all that important friendly service and relaxed dining atmosphere.Dining at Citron is a real pleasure at any time and is certainly one of the highlights of any visit to Dublin.
