Full Description

The Blacksmiths Arms is set in the conservation village of Lastingham, located within the boundaries of the North York Moors National Park. This is a quaint pub with open fires and is all you would imagine a traditional country pub should be and more. All the food is freshly prepared and cooked to order using local produce and suppliers wherever possible. The extensive menu caters for all tastes, especially for those with healthy appetites, and special dishes are frequent and seasonally focused. Try starters such as Brie wedges with red onion marmalade, and chef's homemade soup, and mains such as Yorkshire hotpot in a giant Yorkshire pudding, and stuffed chicken fillet with Stilton and asparagus sauce. The Blacksmiths is warm and inviting, with friendly and efficient staff. It is no wonder that the Blacksmiths Arms has earned a reputation for excellence and comes highly recommended.

" we phoned up to book a meal & discovered that they did accommodation as well. The room was superb - 4 poster bed & beautiful en-suite bathroom. We enjoyed a super meal at lunchtime using our hi-life, ate in the restaurant in the evening, again, fab food, service & decor. The breakfast on the Sunday morning was the icing on the cake! The village is a delightful place to explore. Well worth a visit. "
