Established for some years now, Edinburgh’s Bay of Bengal is situated slap bang in the middle of the action. With such a prime location, the dining room quickly fills up on big dining out nights, so booking is of course essential. Primarily concerned with North Indian and Bangladeshi food, the kitchen offers a menu fairly typical of Indian restaurants, curries aplenty, plus a number of unique or rare chef’s specialties for the visitor seeking to stray from his ‘usual’.Service is friendly and efficient without being rushed while prices are realistic for the central location, close to Edinburgh’s theatres, cinemas and best bars.
